Well this was the one that I was really nervous about & had been for most of the year. Moel Siabod Race 6th July 2013 – Part Two
Below is the draft race report forwarded to WFRA earlier today, what a day it was!! Under warm & sunny skies & with a good turnout of 90 runners this Classic race got underway at 14:00. From here-on however things did not go entirely to plan as less than 10 minutes later Ali Thomas came into view running back to us at the start line. It soon became clear that we had a major incident

On Monday 1st July 3 determined walkers set off from the Café with the aim of completing the Siabod challenge. All were well known to me, my partner, Dorina, Fraser Mackay the feisty 63 year old who successfully summitted Mera & Island peaks with me amongst many other adventures together & a young buck called Will Searle who last year completed the Welsh 3,000’s in approx. 13 hours & believes his next attempt will shave

Moel Siabod Race 6th July 2013 – Part One
We are all looking forward to this great race which is now less than 2 weeks away. As well as being an established classic it is also ideal for beginners to try their hand, or should that be legs, out in the fantastic world of Fell Running. Be warned though it is descending where the danger lies so take it easy until you become more competant but don’t let a few ‘frills’ put you off,
