Looking ahead into 2014 a couple of dates for the diary. On Saturday 4th January we will be holding a Live MIC night, free entry & extended license as normal. Our close friend Michael Roscoe is helping us find some talented musicians but if he doesn’t contact you that is not an excuse not to come along & blow your own trumpet or whatever acoustic instrument that takes your fancy. So here we are again for our Second Christmas at the Siabod Cafe where we plan to Open as we did last year, yes I needed reminding of what that exactly means too! On Saturday 30th November we were pleased to welcome Corin at our cafe to give his presentation ‘Six Months with the Yolmo’. Corin gave a fascinating insight into the remote Himalayan existence of the Yolmo people whom he lived amongst for 6 months through the Winter & Spring of 2012/13. Corin’s trip was based on the installation & introduction of IT systems into a local school to help improve the syllabus & grading structures. His

Our final music night of the year is almost upon us & will effectively be celebrating the first anniversary of Live Music at the Siabod. Fittingly enough The Storyville Mob will be headlining accompanied by Mike Marsh & Phil Denton who received a great review the last time they played here, interesting for me to catch up with them as I was AWOL at the time.
