Just a quick note to thank both Eryri Harriers & Rhos-on-Sea Cycle Club for choosing us as a venue last weekend.
Eryri were first up on Friday evening for an informal party to thank those involved with the organising of the very successful Fell Relay Championships back in October. A relaxed atmosphere was the theme until Mike Lees’ mini quiz brought the true competitive spirit of Fell Runners to the fore, thanks again to you all for a fun night.
Rhos-on-Sea Cycle club chose to call in on us for the 2nd year running despite a somewhat chaotic day back in the Autumn when the Tour of Britain came through Capel. As in September I was again AWOL so my apologies, I was running back to try & see a few of you before you left. This idea came back to haunt me for my sins as the Cyclists (think I counted more than 50, great turnout in that weather) passed me as they descended towards Betws. Yes as you were pushed on by the tail wind I was the lone runner trying to beat his way through the Gale, can only hope the wind was a bit kinder earlier to you all on your way to the Cafe. Hope you enjoyed the Cafe’s temporary refuge & thanks again for visiting us.
