Firstly a quick thank you to all of you who have popped into the Cafe during Christmas week & for your patience if your visit coincided with one of our busy periods (running is easier than pot washing during a rush believe me). Remember we close at 4:00pm today, open at 10:00 on New Year’s Day & close at 5:00pm. From Friday normal hours apply. Have you managed to get up in the snow? Un-fortunately

Quiz Night Cancelled
We are very sad to announce that we have had to cancel the Quiz Night planned for Sat. 27th December due to unavoidable circumstances, we apologise for any inconvenience this causes. We will plan to be at the Cafe later than normal on Saturday to make sure that anyone who doesn’t receive this late news can at least still receive a warm welcome.

Well that’s Christmas all prepared for! With Dorina having a first day off for over a month due to Gaby’s long overdue holiday she was allowed a little lie in yesterday whilst I sorted e-mails & sneaked out for my 7th day running on a trot (the things I’ll do to try & average 5 miles a day this year, don’t tell me Iain I know there is no scientific training approach in that!). Breaking news is that Calum Musket has agreed to give an evening presentation at the Cafe on Saturday March 21st 2015, rightly pushing aside my own planned ‘A Journey into Alpinism’ until later in the year.
