Just a quick reminder that this weekend with our Open MIC night on Saturday 23rd May we will be open until 11:30 pm. On Sunday we will have extended opening until 8:00 pm. before returning to normal at 6:00 pm on Bank Holiday Monday.

First things first Hazel Sturt has had to pull out of this coming weekend so we’ve changed the agenda to an Open MIC Night with the help & support of Alan Mannouch so all you musicians feel free to come along for a relaxed evening in Capel Curig on Saturday 23rd May, more details on our events page. With Ady still away most of the weekend I was at the Cafe working believe it or not although on Saturday my mind was being distracted by Jim Mann’s Paddy attempt! In the end Jim who had encountered rain & pea soup conditions throughout was to wisely abort on the 4th leg after some 13 hours or so only an hour down on his 17 hour schedule, some effort in those conditions. My thanks to John Rowell for his idea to combine my Siabod Summit Challenge into something bigger & more inspiring. John’s idea is to have a whole day of events at the Cafe based on Nepal & with me being tied up on the slopes of Siabod he has kindly offered to pull the events together both in the lead up to & on the day itself. Despite the nerves we enjoyed revisiting the Alps & hope it inspired & or brought memories back for you too. Through the ticket sales & donations we raised £340.00 for the charity CLIC Sargent, I’ll be posting the cheque
