I’ve been back from the Alps for nearly two weeks now having realised that I’d maid the schoolboy error of not entering a race on the weekend after my return. This cock-up dawned on me very early on in a run where I went out with Dorina on the first Friday after my return. After my epic in the Karakorum in the summer of 2022 my plan for this year was simply ‘back to basics’ in the form of booking Tim Blakemore (‘my’ IFMGA Guide) for 6 days in the Alps. Reach Out for Nepal Day 2023 – 19th August
We are pleased to announce that this year 19th August has been set for our annual ROFN fund-raiser. Initial details are now listed on our Events page so click there for more details. This year Paul’s runs will hopefully be a little more relaxing for him as he’s aiming at a variety of routes to suit all between sunrise & sunset (5:50 am to 8:30 pm). My close friend & Confidant, John Rowell, has been kind enough to ask me to compile a small piece for a book he is producing covering a wide variety of aspects & reflections of the Ogwen Valley. The book encompasses subjects such as Wildflowers, Farming, Photography, Activities & the like. When the book is published it should be a fascinating & unique way of understanding the Ogwen Valley & those who enjoy it’s charms &
