A Busy Autumn Line Up

In this gorgeous weather it’s great to see the Picnic tables at the Café full with customers basking in the sun this Bank Holiday, lets hope it holds for a true Indian Summer. However as Autumn inevitably arrives over the coming months we have a pretty full line up of events being pencilled into our Calender so here is a brief outline to see if there is something of interest for you.

September 20th – Austin Healey Club North Wales visit North Wales & we are expecting to se several of them meet at the Café the day before their main rally on Saturday 21st. We are delighted the Club has chosen to pull in at the Café & have allocated the Short Stay Car Park for approximately 10 Vintage Cars. So please come along, park in the Long Stay car park & admire some fantastic Vintage Cars from a respectable distance, no finger prints please!

October 5th – Music Night, headlined by The Storyville Mob with full line up to be confirmed over the coming weeks, watch this space for details. Free Admission

October 19th – Nick Bullock Presentation – Tickets £12 in advance & £15 on the night (subject to availability) will include a bowl of Gaby’s Goulash (Veg. option available). This is something I am personally really looking forward to, all I can say is don’t miss this opportunity to hear what a real Mountaineer & Climber gets up to. Nick is internationally respected & has the character to match his skill. This will be lively with a hint of full on language & full blown enthusiasm.

November 16th – Our first Quiz Night in support of Ogwen Valley Mountain Rescue. £1 Admission per team member but donations encouraged to bolster our fund raising.

November 30th – Corin Hardcastle’s Nepal Presentation – Corin has recently returned from 6 months teaching & trekking in Nepal & will share his experiences of this amazing Country. Free Admission but donations encouraged in Support of Schools in Nepal encouraged.

We are looking to continue our attempts to make weekends at the Café a regular centre of attraction for Capel Curig so as well as further Music & Quiz Nights to be confirmed as Autumn moves into Winter we are open to ideas & approaches whatever they maybe to see if the Café will be an ideal venue for other Events. So if you have something to tell people that you feel will interest our cliental feel free to contact us. As for myself I am thinking off a presentation covering Fraser’s & My recent exertions in the Alps but don’t worry too soon we’ll seek interest levels first before imposing it upon you.
