A day of running at a slow & steady pace with Paul on a variety of routes to suit everyone, details of these runs will be listed within the next few weeks. The runs will start at sunrise (5:50) & complete by sunset (20:30) so feel free to join him on one or more by simply making a donation of your choice on the day. The runs are (times may vary a little so keep in touch with Paul’s progress as the day moves on):-

5:50 – Moel Siabod via the Daear Dhu Ridge & descending the race route – Circa 7 miles & Two & a Half Hours, hopefully with a good sunrise thrown in.

9:00 – The old road into the Ogwen valley to Little Tryfan before climbing into cwm Tryfan & returning to the Cafe over Y Foel Goch & Cefyn y Capel – circa 11 Miles & 3 Hours.

12:30 – Llyn Geirionydd & Llyn Crafnant – circa 11 Miles & Two & a Half Hours, a lovely triple lake outing.

15:30 – The old road into the Ogwen valley, then up very steep Ffynnon Lugwy reservoir road before taking the Leat back to Capel returning to the Cafe via the Slate Trail – circa 10 Miles & Two & a Half Hours – The leat is one of those lovely remote spots that Trail/Fell runners seek for splendid isolation making the climb up to it very worth the effort.

18:30 – The Siabod Junior Race route, a must for any parents with children (who’ll be eligible for the 2024 race i.e. U.16, 14 & 12/10 year olds on race day itself) – circa 2 miles & 20/30 minutes.

19:00 – The Capel Loop, scene of Paul’s failure to do 100 miles in 24 Hours back in 2020 but still a lovely run when you are only doing it once – circa Three & a Half Miles & One Hour.

Throughout the day Twiggy will have a stall selling a variety of crafts, books as well as CAN (Community Action Nepal) artifacts & photographic prints taken by the late Doug Scott CBE.

We will also be selling a variety of Doug Scott’s photographic prints.

In the evening at 8:00 pm Mike Lees will put on his fun Quiz & there will be a raffle too.
