Our thanks to Ian Draisey for once again putting on this excellent event. Usually it would be on the same day as our Reach Out for Nepal Day but as we all know 2020 is not a normal year.
The Moel Siabod Sportif (MSS) will be 5 years old this year. The Sportif is part of the Reach out for Nepal fundraising activities, and grown in popularity every year. The route is always a challenging 100 miles or varied riding in beautiful Snowdonia. Part of the attractions for many of the riders are the challenging climbs including Ysbyty Ifan and Pen Y pass.
The Cafe is always a regular watering hole, where the riders can catch their breath, and in normal times find out what’s happening in the other fundraising activities – like Paul’s many trips to the summit of Moel Siabod.
In 2020 the ride has been postponed due to the Covid19 pandemic, but will now go ahead on September 26th, 2020. The ride will start and finish at the beautiful Bach Wen campsite near Trebor on the north Llyn coast, which will allow for socially distanced food and socialising before and after the ride.
This year the MSS has attracted more riders than ever – but there’s always room for a few more. For more details please visit the Sportif FaceBook page: https://www.facebook.com/The-Moel-Siabod-Sportif
