Photography Night at the Siabod Cafe

My apologies but what with races, ML Assessment prep & a seemingly constant spinning head I am posting this blog a little late but better late than never & hopefully many of you are already aware of it’s subject.

This Friday, yes 3rd May, we are delighted to welcome John Rowell of Chasing the Light to the cafe for what will be an extremely interesting & instructive evening discussing both Photographic Skills to capture the wonders of Snowdonia as well as ideas on how once captured we can enhance our enjoyment of these photographs for years to come. John will be ably supported as always by Marian as well as Sarah Ridgeway of Run Snowdoniafame whom I understand has been tutored by John from time to time over the last year with some success. John of course has history at the Siabod, in October last year he exhibited at our cafe as part of our involvement with The Snowdonia Arts Festival & in February he & Marian were instrumental to the success of Fraser’s & My Nepal Presentation. More recently they have helped me to produce a book capturing my experiences in Nepal & it is hoped that a copy will be on display on Friday (winging it’s way from the printers as I speak). Don’t worry I’m not planning to sell it just to show what can be done with those photographs we so often store on a computer & rarely look back on to enjoy the moments in which they were taken.

I’ll leave the rest to John & his natural enthusiasm for the subject & our mountains, but I for one think it’ll be a great evening. No entry fee but donations to Ogwen Valley Mountain Rescue who’ll be present as well would be gratefully received.
