A lot was happening in Capel on Saturday 2nd July, the village show, the Moel Siabod fell race (race results, photo’s & report expected to be on the WFRA web-site soon) but also something else passed through our mitts.

At 9:00 am Justin Kendall, who suffers from MS, his daughter Sioned & friend Martin Hill set off from the Pen-y-Gwryd hotel for an epic charity cycle ride to the Pyrenees with various fancy dressed supporters on their first leg to Dolgellau. They are hoping people will join them for various legs as they make their way through Wales & beyond. If you want to support them or donate for this worthy cause please visit their web-site ‘www.tesnibear.wix.com?pyg-pyrenees’. It as great to see them pass through Capel, we wish them well.

Our next Open MIC Night has been moved to Saturday 23rd July & is once again hosted by Alan Mannouch, Gaby & Dorina hope to see you here for a relaxed evening. As for myself, well I hope to be relaxing with a glass of wine in the Chamonix valley after what may prove to be my hardest ever 6 days in the Alps, if I’m not something will have gone a bit wrong!

Finally having been distracted by a few recent events I have completely forgotten to publicise that our Summer Opening Hours are now upon us. I can only apologise if that has meant you were unable to take advantage of these over the last couple of days. For the record as from Sunday 3rd July we are open until 8:00 pm 7 days a week until & including 29th August (Bank Holiday Monday). We hope you, like others did on Sunday, get a chance for some early evening dining AL fresco!
