Level: Easy to Moderate.
Terrain: Forest Tracks, clear paths occasionally muddy & Tarmac.
Distance: 6.5 Miles.
Estimated Time: 4/5 Hours
Description: This is a walk ideal for an afternoon or long summer evening. Apart from a short section that can be a little slippery in the wet it is on good paths & takes in the attractions of the Afon (river) Llugwy as well as the opportunity of a superb & less often seen view of the famous Swallow Falls which is free! To cap it all the return journey has spectacular views of some of North Wales most iconic mountains.
‘The woodland here has some fine examples of mature birch trees interspersed with occasional beech & larch… keeping your senses tuned to the birdsong, woodpeckers & buzzards circling above (yes all at the same time if you are as lucky as I was)’
