Another chance to attend one of Mike Lees’ highly enjoyable & funny Quiz Night’s at the Siabod cafe. This one is in aid of the Little Adoption Shop & organised by our good friend Hazel Robbins so we hope you will be able to attend & have a great night out in Capel Curig. There will be an Auction of donated items before the Quiz starts, Quiz Prizes & also a Raffle too.

Some more about this good cause:-

The Little Adoption Shop (LAS) was founded in 2011, it is a Beizing-based Dog rescue & adoption organisation. The Quiz Facebook group page with updates and information about items for auction, raffle etc. is: https://www.facebook.com/groups/2059228044127486/about/

In the last 6 years it has rescued & provided shelter to more than a thousand dogs including many who’s fate would have gone to the meat trade & others who have been trapped or exposures to many other dangers. LAS concentrate on saving the sickest/most difficult dogs first irrespective that these are often the most costly cases to cure.

Chris Barden who runs LAS in Dion & Goby’s story: In 2016 Dion Leonard, an altramarathon runner, was followed by a little stray dog (later named Gobi) whilst running a 155 mile race across (yes you’ve guessed it) the Gobi Desert. Dion decided to reward his new follower by bringing her back to the UK but whilst in quarantine in Urumqi she went missing in a city of 3 million people. Chris & his team were instrumental in finding Gobi, this turned into a bestseller ‘Finding Gobi’ & is now being developed into a film by 20th Century Fox!

LAS are widely known in China, have a don’t give up & no kill policy & are an non-government organisation so totally reliant on donations.

Please join with Hazel, Mike  & ourselves to help raise some funds to allow Chris & his team to continue helping dogs in a country where they clearly need that help.

If you wish to donate but cannot attend the quiz you can do so by either contacting Hazel at hazel.robbins@the-history-house.co.uk or by visiting Little Adoption Shop Go Fund Me page https://www.gofundme.com/adoptionshop.

Entry to the quiz is £2.00 minimum per person but of course we’d be delighted if you give more.

Last orders for those wanting hot food will be 7:00 pm, extended bar until 11:00 pm.
