Pleased to confirm that the Quiz Night raised an excellent £453.37 for the 3 chosen charities so each of them will receive £151 each, they are:-

Ogwen Valley Mountain Rescue Organisation (Thanks to their members turning up in good force).
Alaw Ward Cancer Unit at Ysbyty Gwynedd
Gwynedd & Anglesey MIND (Mental Health Charity)

A bit thank you to Becky Law for both choosing us as a venue & all her hard work, sourcing prizes, promoting etc. etc. & of course to Mike Lees for his enthusiastic Quizmaster tour de force!

Hopefully everyone had a great night & great to see so many Eryri club members coming along after the days earlier exhertions (well it certainly was for me at least) in the Pen. race.

As for the Pen. race the bog claimed more than one victim, gladly I was not among them, there was a great turnout to do the race justice in it’s 40th year & I am proud to now be the owner of both a commemerative Mug & bottle of Beer which looks almost too good to open, thanks to Chris Near & his team.
