Our thanks to John & Marian of Chasing the Light for putting together a great night in support of Ogwen Valley Mountain Rescue. A great turn out filled the room so thanks to all of you who came along. The evening was started off by John who surprised Paul a framed print of his Mera Peak Summitting before an interesting talk got underway together with Audio Visuals covering subjects as varied as Mont Blanc & a Farmer’s year in Snowdonia, excellent. John was more than ably supported by Sarah Ridgeway of RunSnowdonia fame who showed results with her head camera including a Brockenspectre (speeling could be a bit iffy). After a short interval John was off again before introducing Nick wh’d he’d met only hours earlier who gave a great ad-lib view of his passion for landscapes with some magnificent images he’d taken earlier in the week.

It had been the ideal start to a Bank Holiday weekend which, with good weather, led to the cafe being full on a regular basis. Long & hard days but great to see that so many of you have now put us on your map, our appreciation to everyone for being patient as we (except Paul who was AWOL) tried our hardest to keep up with demand.
